Due to recent events (you all know what I'm talking about) I can't withdraw any money and haven't been able to do it since everything began.
Because of this: DO NOT BUY THE PRO VERSION, you'll be essentially throwing your money out of window.
How to get the pro version? Be patient!
With the next update EFPSE WILL BECOME FREE. This was a decision we have reached after discussing this problem.
For those who bought it just recently: I recommend you to get your money back while you can.
I'd hate you to waste your money on this.
Yes, I know some of you will be displeased: you bought it and now it's free for everyone. I can't blame you. But I also can't do anything about it: all the money are on this itch.io account and I can't do anything with them. I can't even buy things on Itch to somehow return your money.
I am really sorry about that.

No. There is some sort of copy protection integrated so PRO version requires itch app.
I never like that much tbh.
I get why but honestly it also just is annoying since I tbh never liked Drm ish stuff.
You can use Lite version. It doesn't have any restrictions now, apart from having "non-commercial use" watermark in the main menu.

I have a few questions:
1. if I understand correctly, after the next update, the ITCH site will only have a Pro version, the Lite version will be discontinued, right? So there will be no point in having the Lite version anymore.
2.
The PRO version, will it still be launched through the app first, or will you remove copy protection for good? I guess it makes sense, yes!
3.After the upgrade, will it always be free from then on? No surprises for current customers if they have to pay for the program again later!

The lite version will be updated to pro. There will still be a "non-commercial" splash in the menu.
The paid pro version will stay as is and will be updated accordingly, just without the splash so you could sell your game.
This would be the only reason to buy this, though I discourage people from doing so. Each PRO feature will be there for free and I'm not sure EFPSE is quite the level of making games made with it commercial. But that's up to you.
And no, updated lite version will always stay pro. Just with the splash.
I bought the pro version and am very happy with it. I hope you get your money soon.

I don't mind at all that I bought the EFPSE even if it'll be free from now on. It's a pleasure to use and I hope you do realize how great it is!
